Homes across the bay were built in very different eras. Older areas such as Seminole Heights, South Tampa, St. Petersburg, Gulfport and Tarpon Springs have homes from the early 1900s, where galvanized steel and cast iron are common. Postwar suburbs such as Town 'n' Country, Pinellas Park and Holiday have many 1950s to 1970s homes. Places that boomed in the 1980s, such as Palm Harbor, Brandon and Seminole, are where polybutylene turns up most. Newer communities such as Wesley Chapel and Riverview mostly have PEX or CPVC.
